Directed by David Fincher, this atmospheric puzzle-box of a film seduces you with silence, unnerves you with precision, and leaves you questioning everything you thought you understood about right and wrong.

The story centers on Elena Bishop (played with icy brilliance by Rosamund Pike), a high-profile criminal defense attorney known for protecting the powerful and spinning doubt into acquittal. But when she’s pulled into a decades-old case involving the disappearance of a young journalist — and a wrongfully convicted man now on the verge of release — Elena finds herself facing a case that refuses to stay buried.
